This web site is based on the popular writing skills program, Essay Punch. The complete Essay Punch program teaches students to write persuasive, informative,
and descriptive essays.
The
current topic asks students to write a persuasive essay in response to the following situation.
A teacher, a student, and a member of the town
council appear on a local TV talk show and debate whether television
does more good than harm, or more harm than good. The program's host invites
the audience to write in with their views.
